Hang-gliding & Paragliding

The hills and heights of the Cote d'Azur mountains allow for good thermals for hangliders, paragliers and parapente. Find out the contact information for the Riviera's gliding clubs.

Training is available from professional teachers, recognised by the French Hang-gliding Federation (Fédération Française de Vol Libre) at approved gliding schools.

The launch must be made from an authorised, listed site; there are 40 launch sites in the Riviera. Popular paragliding sites include Gourdon and Roqubrune-Cap-Martin.

Kitesurf

Kitesurfing, although a relatively new sport, is becoming increasingly popular on the French Riviera. There are a number of kitesurf schools along the coast, recognised by the Fédération Française de Vol Libre.
