Cinema, Cinema!
Even in these days of almost ubiquitous satellite television,
multi-lingual DVDs and TV Over IP (television over the Internet), it can be a delight to go to the movies
and watch a film in the hushed darkness of a theatre, on the big screen,
just as its makers intended. That's why AngloINFO Riviera gives you a guide
to all the films in English that are playing in the region.
What's on, where, when
Each week, the AngloINFO English-Language Cinema INFOrmation Page lists the VO (version originale) English-language films showing across the Alpes-Maritimes, the Var and in Monaco (and of course, at the Monaco open air cinema, the Cinéma d'Été).
Find what you want to see, where or when by clicking on the name of the town that interests you, or selecting a movie title or day of the week from the drop-down menus.
And you don't just get what's showing in the large towns, but also those inland villages which often get "toured" by a single print of a VO movie over a week or two.
Each movie's title is actually a hyperlink, taking you to essential information provided by The Internet Movie Database, so you can find out more about the movie, it's stars, and read reviews from the world's top critics.
- The AngloINFO English-Language Cinema INFOrmation page is updated every Wednesday morning - if your town or village's cinema appears not to be listed it just means there's nothing on this week; maybe there will be next week!
