Ideas for sightseeing when friends visit

Catattack writes in Sport & Leisure

Hi there,
I have two friends coming to stay for 10 days and I want to plan a rough itinerary for their time here. So bearing in mind that we are all young women, I have a 5 month old baby and a car, does anyone have any suggestion? (I live in Cannes) I am struggling to think of places that are not too busy, easy to get to by car or train/bus and baby/stroller friendly, also want to take them to Italy but in a day trip.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated :)
Thanks

Hi, some ideas :
- Lérins islands (you can check the schedules on internet)
- Flower market in Nice, cours Saleya, every mornings until 1pm except Mondays,
- The nice perched village of Gourdon,
- Grasse and a visit to a parfumerie (free),
- Thorenc (After Gréolières) with its bisons (3 were born recently),
- Vence and its fountains and all town,
- Saint-Paul de Vence,
- Lac de Saint Cassin for a one-day outing,
- Biot and one visit to a glass factory,
- if it rains, the Oceanographic museum in Monaco,
etc, etc,

For all of these, there is a web site giving you all details, the majority in English as well.

Hope you do enjoy,

N.

All good suggestions, but one I would add: chemin des douaniers around Cap d'Antibes, starting at La Garoupe (3 kms from central Antibes), well indicated and beautiful walk along mostly sea-front, takes about one hour and a half (but not pushchair-friendly). Steve
