Going to LLL meetings in Nice

Hi,

I was wondering if any mum from this forum is a regular at LLL meetings.

I think it would be a good way to learn some French but still will be nice to know there are some English speaking mums.

Not really related but I was wondering how it is seen here breast feeding a toddler. Is it common?
I heard french pediatricians are not really pro breast feeding.

Hello Fra.Spa. I will email you privately to discuss breast feeding a toddler. My daughter weaned last year - so I won't see you at the LLL meetings. But, hopefully you will find some great moms there!

My pedi maybe wasn't terribly pro-breastfeeding, but he had nothing against it. And when I went beyond the habitual 3 months, he said "bien". Of course he gave me the normal spiel about nursing 10 minutes only on each breast. I soon learned that that wasn't going to work for my baby and I had to seek out my own way of doing things.

I never joined LLL, but I probably could have used them. I had a tough time of it and it took months for me to get it all sorted out. I went on to breastfeed both my babies until 14 months each. If you need any advice, just contact me.
